TNPPA Committees

Building Connections!
Joining a committee is an awesome way to dive into new business topics, connect with fresh faces, and earn those all-important merits for your service degree!
Thinking about serving on the board of directors someday? Getting involved with a committee is the perfect stepping stone.
And hey, introverts, this one's for you! Committees offer a fantastic way to meet people in smaller, more comfortable groups—no need to worry about those big, intimidating events. Consider joining a committee and your posse will be in place before the next big gathering!
- How Do I get Involved?
-
Simply sign-up! Reach out to the chair or co-chair of the committee you are interested in and let them know you are ready to get to work! Contact information can be found on the TNPPA Member Directory page.
You can also fill out a Volunteer Form here and someone from the committee will reach out to you.
- What are The Roles and Responsibilities?
-
Roles and responsibilities vary by committee. You can see a brief description of each committee's roles on this page.
- When Do Committees Meet?
-
Most committees meet at least once per month. Each committee will designate a day and time to meet when the majority of the team is available. Contact is often maintained between meetings through Facebook Messenger or emails.
- Where Are Committee Meetings Held?
-
Committees typically meet online and occasionally at an in-person event. Online meetings are scheduled via Zoom or Google Meet as decided by the group.
- I Don't Have Much Experience But I'd Like To Help.
-
You are an ideal committee member! We encourage new people to pitch in. Your knowledge isn't as important as your willingness to work with others and be open to learning new things. If you have skills or ideas to share, that's even better!
- Which Committee is the Best?
-
That depends on who you ask! 😀
If you are a social butterfly who loves to meet people, Membership is your jam.
If you love working behind the scenes and social media then Marketing will keep you busy!
If you are all about the details and keeping everything legal, then Bylaws or Finance would be a perfect fit.
If you have a passion for learning, consider Education, and help to shape educational offerings for the organization while increasing your knowledge too!
If you are the life of the party and love big shindigs, then Events or Awards could use your talents!
If you love to compete or just want to learn about the image competition process and what is involved in creating award-winning images, then Image Competition is for you.
If you have a talent for getting what you want, then the Fundraising committee (and every member) would truly appreciate your help! #nomosquitos
