What They Did NOT Teach Me in My MBA
Whether we realize it or like it or not we are all leaders.
Our clients, peers, partners, and the public judge everything we say and do whether we like it or not. What They Did Not Teach Me in My MBA is a fast-paced, fun filled class sharing my top lessons from nearly 30 years in management and leadership of small to large corporations and as a solopreneur. We are going to learn how our business is like our human body but focus on 3 key areas.
- We begin with understanding that first impression really do matter and are often wrong.
- Then we talk about the ‘brains’ of our business planning and knowing your numbers in a simple way.
- The class moves on to the ‘heart’ of business, that is right your heart, to explore and understand why,
I am confident, we will laugh, learn and maybe even cry together while you find numerous easy-to-apply tips or tricks to help you and your business develop and grow. Prepare to cut yourself some SLAC, take a smoke break, be BAD at the office, jump out of a plane, party like a rock star, use passion and date…
About Steph J
After getting a BS in Business, I began in distribution and supply chain leadership and management, moving up the corporate ladder and around the country. I became a division Vice-President in one of the fastest growing national companies at the time at only 27. With both field and corporate management and leadership experience, I completed an Executive MBA at the University of Denver. I left large business to pursue greener pastures (or so I thought) in smaller companies to increase my general management and sales experience. I have started and continue to run two small businesses, Quad J Farms and Steph J Photography, and have had to reinvent myself a time or two in life.
My passion is emotional empowering portraiture, but I also do personal branding and a limited number of weddings/special events, and corporate work. I love to travel, be in the rodeo arena with bulls, broncs and my camera, or photographing steam trains. I am a strong advocate and educator of mental health awareness and suicide prevention as well. I have earned my Master Photographer and Photographic Craftsman Degrees and CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) through PPA, I am honored to be an award winning internationally published photographer and actively involved with both PPA (Professional Photographers of America, and VPPA (Virginia Professional Photographers) where I am an elected councilor for PPA, and Board member and Marketing Director for VPPA.
